So I just got back from watching the new Indiana Jones movie. All I can say is, its a good "Mummy" movie (referring to the Brendan Fraser Mummy movies). The Indiana Jones formula was just not there.
The story takes place in the late 1950's; Indy is older than dirt & pretty soon, he'll start digging up his own bones so it can be displayed in a museum along with all of their old treasures. I don't want to say too much because I may spoil it for anyone who is reading this but I will say that it did not feel like the original movies. There were a lot of scenes that took me back to George Luca$' first movie "American Graffiti". That whole 50's retro level with young teenagers in the picture (although American Graffiti was taken place in 1962). Not even the camera work felt the same as the old Indy movies. Another thing I hated, there was just too much CGI. Spielberg & Luca$ lost their imagination with what Indy is all about. Spielberg has been making a lot of shitty movies recently & Luca$ is no artist, he's a businessman. He'll do anything to make money. As soon as you decide to work for Luca$ in a movie, he can proudly say "I own your face"
