So last night as I'm channel surfing through like 900 channels (yet I only commit to about 3 or 4) I decided to text my friend & see what he's doing. It figures, he's playing Grand Theft Auto 4 (PS3 Version) then asks me if I'm interested in joining him to check out a sneak feature of 'Iron Man'
I agreed as long as we are guaranteed seats & I don't have to stand in line long enough to get a good wiff of some fat ass (oh don't tell me you've never experienced that horrendous smell) standing next to mewhateverso anyway, he purchases tickets on some website (I'm guessing Fandango) & we go ahead. He lives a few blocks up from my building so its not a bad walk. What made it suck was the damn rain. It was a bit chilly as well. We head over to Loews up on 84th street in Manhattan. We were just on time to miss every single movie trailer & bull shit car commercials that can speed up to 88 MPH in a few secondscrazyso we sit down. Theater is packed so we were unable to sit next to each other. He sat behind me (unoccupied chair) & I sit in front of him. Next to this 15 year old couple (b/g) who insisted to make-out for most of the movie. Ummmm, I don't thing 'Iron Man' is exactly the movie that you show up for to swap spithahaha.children, I know..so I watched the whole movie, very pleased about it. I can consider myself a casual Iron Man fan. I own a decent amount of the comic series, I know his origin & what his deal is so I'm proud to say that this is one of the better movies that MARVEL has dished outunlike Daredevil, boy, was that movie a real piece of shit. I actually saw DD in theaters too, alone, with a bunch of fuckin' teeny boppers sitting behind me..such a depressing moment.
So if you haven't seen it yet or plan on it, I recommend it. Its not exactly action packed, its very story-driven & if Robert Downey Jr.'s dry humor & acting is what made the movie. If they paid any other actor to play Tony Stark/Iron Man, it would not have been as good. Its kind of like fate or karma or something like that to have RD Jr. play an alcoholic when in fact he is a recovering alcoholic himself hahaha.
So that's that.

I keep hearing that Iron Man is a great movie. I'll have to check it out when it's out on DVD (I'm not much of a movie theater person).
