Rainy, cold, and time is really draggin' its leaden feet today, I tell ya. I guess I can head out in the next half hour or so.
I haven't worked out how I'm going to use this journal yet. I could keep it as a kinda personal diary thing, mainly for my own pleasure or whatever. Or I could mix in some stuff which others might find interesting. Or, what?
Guess I should introduce myself a little. I'm a Brit who has lived around a bit - USA (Ohio) for almost 10 years, as well as France and the Middle East. I like to think that I'm a well travelled, well-seasoned man with a thirst for life and knowledge. I know I'm habitually a thinker but I'm also a boyish animal.
I'm a psychotherapist by trade, although I've been a successful business man, diplomat, and writer in the past too. I have to keep my identity secret because it might screw up work I do with clients. This is kinda cool and kinda not. It means I need to be carefuland it means I can't put up any recent pictures. (You'll just have to trust me. I'm stunningly handsome
)
I currently live in London with my partner, who is a wonderful bi-girl and also a member of SG. She's loosened me up quite a bit in the three years I've known her and I also have her to thank for my tatts and love of NIN. (Anyone of ya going to the Astoria gig? We are!!!! Wooohoooooo!)
What do I want from this? I guess a few things.
First up, since moving back to London after so long in the States, I've been struck by how fucking difficult it is to meet people here. You go into a bar/pub here and try talking to someone and they seem immediately to think you're an axe murderer or something. Not like that Stateside. So, been adjusting to taking it slowly and hope that in time I might chat/hook up with some cool folks from around these here parts. There's a certain culture expressed at SG which feels right and open to me.
Second, I love the photos and stuff. Some really hot and beautiful sets.
Third, I want to explore things (ideas, values, thoughts) in a semi-public space. I figure I can do that here, in my journal and maybe in groups/on boards.
Fourth, I dunno - maybe there will be other benefits... I guess I'll see...
OK, off to a meeting right now. Weekend consists of training all day Saturday, then maybe Ally Pally Motorbike show on Sunday...
Bye for now xxx

Yikes, this is gloomy stuff for a Monday morning! Screw that. It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Londinium. I had a great weekend and am writing to another human being on another continent who I don't know but who's friendly and welcoming. How cool is that?!!
love and kisses
