Hey! Look who's updating! There is a long list of things that I can talk about. The beach trip, goofing off, fucking up, yada yada yada... Today I will talk about the first fiction book that I've read since Fight Club.
The Alchemist is pretty damn good. Probably because I like stories that reaffirm my weird philosophies. I'm always watching for omens, i've become convinced that the heart is often more intelligent than the mind, and I see karma work through luck and coincedence. The big story ideas are a little simplified here and obscured there, but I think that it might be more due to a poor translation from spanish. Ya know, where they translate the words nut not the meaning? All in all though it puts foward some very advanced "zen" truths (for lack of a better phrase) in a straightfoward way. I will have to ponder this for a while, it's good food for thought.
And to the one who loaned me the book, why don't I listen to you more? You are like the desert in the story. The more I listen, the more I learn.

Pardon my grammer and spelling obsession. But I can't have you correcting me on things that aren't wrong.
