Now that I've seen my stuff up in a public gallery I feel like asking Okay, now what?
I need to figure out where to go from here. Up until now I've wanted to keep my artwork separate from my means of income. I want to keep my artwork FUN and not have to compromise for a paycheck. But I'm not so sure anymore.
I need to decide if I want to keep pursuing the computer programmer thing. If so, I need to start doing it again. My resume has been stale since August. I should set up a VPN here at home, for the experience. I could start messing around with AppleScript, just for fun. I should really get back into Java, and maybe pick up some other neat new tricks. I could use my interests in Cryptography and/or Artificial Intelligence as fuel for homemade projects.
I need to decide if I want to pursue a career as a professional artist. If so, I should really get recent and legit copies of Photoshop and Illustrator and learn how to use them. Maybe try my hand at some of this vector stuff that looks so cool. I should really start considering going back to school for an art degree.
Ideally I'd be able to do both. I'd be able to pick up the programming again, get a job, use the money to pay for fancy software and art classes, and I think that'd be Perfect. But this isn't Perfect.
Is it?
Oh, yeah. And I want to start writing dirty bedtime stories.
