I'm sure you'll meet someone really nice once your out in Vegas. A few semi-random encounters can be fun and helpful, but yeah.. like you say, it's all about having someone to cuddle up to that makes your blood buzz at the end of the day. I haven't known many people that have that effect, but it's like they are a living, breathing drug and make you feel great.
LOL, not trying to point out what your missing here. Just saying that I think it's ultimately what it sounds like you need once you are out of the akward transitions phase from CA to NV. Someone that's as cool as you seem could find somebody out here with some looking.. the problem is, as you've said, getting attached to somebody here would make the move to NV even worse!
I wish you a whole lot of luck though. Just try to relax and enjoy things as they come for now, you probably won't be all that long before you find somebody to watch silly movies in your pajamas with

i cancelled my debit card a few months ago.
aol is supposed to bill my account directly but since the card has been blocked they can't and they're still allowing me internet access.. there's a big pop up that says that i haven't paid for two months and i can't access aol features but i use internet explorer anyway.. I WIN!

i'm very proud of slam on rye. it's a monthly poetry slam held here in modesto.. it's a little bit of culture in this vast artistic wasteland.. and one of the things i'll miss most (besides my friends, of course) about this little crap-hole town.
