So this must be my infamous twice-yearly journal post!
Pretty sure last I wrote I was about to leave for Canada/America. There's no way I can even sum that trip up right now... but it was amazing. At times extremely challenging, but on the whole, REAL LIVIN! I got to meet the lovely s_eldorado, see Joshua Tree, cross Canada in style (by rail), spend amazing sister and mister times, experience more snow and cold than I would like to EVER again, visit old friends, get midnight tattooed, learn to snowboard, hike and hike and hike, breathe in that amazing Canada air, walk around New Orleans with a drink in my hand and a huge smile on my face, experience beautiful Georgia, revisit amazing NYC for xmas/nye/snowpocalypse... I don't even know what else but it was A LOT. Now I'm broke.
This is me, on holiday:
I'm now back living in Adelaide (hometown) for a little while. My mister got some family stuff that needs attending to so I'm supporting him in that. Deferred my PhD and am working at a cafe, making sandwiches. Life has slooooowed down. Been having my usual existential crises. Trying to live in the moment, but of course making endless travel adventure plans.
The other night sir _Max was in town so him, me, discobat, Aadamn, and my old school bff Laurs had mad dinner/pictionary/fuck the bus/chat chat/birthday cupcakes times. Most amazing crew.

Oh yeah, I got dreads again.... SO STUPID! You know when you're traveling and you feel all free, and think you can do whatever you want, and want huge hair to match your HUGE HAPPY HEART, and then you get back, and you can't find a job, and you remember why you cut off your huge hair in the first place, so you can go scuba diving and wear a bike helmet and be taken seriously in academic situations??? Yeah that is happening to me.
That's about it for now, have exam to study for (GIS.... damn). Oh but one last thing, WE GOT RATS!! They are so frickin cute. Picture in next blog, if they are even still alive in 2020 when I finally get around to writing here again.

Crossing Canada by train sounds like a lovely idea!
Save up those nickels, for the rest of your travels I suppose. And the second photo is fantastic!
