Hey there!
Just came back from my first shift during my nursing practical on a neonatology station. We mostly have premature babies there, you can hardly imagine how small they are! But of course, they're damn sweet! So I guess it'll be a really cool month there. Ok, maybe a bit boring because we are so many practicants, student nurses and student midwives that there isn't much work for one of us (hey, there's more staff than "patients"! And plus, the babies' mums are also there and look for their child.) But we'll see how things will go on. At least the other girls (there are no men oder boys working on the station^^) are all very nice and helpful. Even though I (as a medical student) will be on "the other side of power" (meaning, being a doctor ) one day. (Hey is it the same in America, that doctors and nursing staff usually don't like each other?)
You will soon hear from me again, xoxo
