Today I've decided I'm going to continue my Suicide Girls homework along with my college coursework and practice a bit of rope knife. Since I'm fairly new to the site, I will go back into the past and do all the homework that I've missed so that you guys can learn about me! I know a lot of you don't have Twitter or Instagram and that's where I post most of my personal thoughts, so I don't want you to miss out on that!
Anyways, I guess I'll get started with my, er I mean YOUR lesson.
First thing's first. The tattoo on the back of my left arm is a set of 5 geometric shapes. I get a lot of questions about those guys, so I'm going to let you know what's up. Those are called the Platonic Solids. They are the 5 geometric shapes that come out of the Flower of Life and are the building blocks of the universe. They contract and expand to fit into different line work in the Flower of Life pattern and are therefore ever evolving and breathing. The Platonic Solids also represent the 5 elements- water, air, fire, earth, and aether (the universe's element).
Because I'm feeling good about this post, I'll leave you with a video link. This video is LOVELY to watch while high and will help you understand visually what I am talking about. There are not words or explanations but the pattern's form is revealed to you and it is transformed in ways to allow you to look at it from different perspectives.
