According to Murphy, the 70 virgins were entirely inadequate. He's enjoying the feasting though.

Thank you very much.

I need to get through the next 10 days at work without everything I've worked for over the last year and a half turning completely to shit.

50/50 shot right now that it will.

Here we go.

It's not for everyone. I think where most people go wrong is thinking that a dark roast is better quality than a lighter one, when actually the opposite is true, especially when you're using non-pressurized brew methods. Look for unwashed or sun-dried single origins, and go easy on the grounds in relation to the water. A 1:17 ratio is usually ideal. Ethiopian and Mexican coffees can be surprisingly fruity and floral when they aren't roasted too close to second crack, with none of the bitterness or ashy cigar flavours you would find in a dark roast. Most people compare them to a herbal tea. If there's a coffee house nearby that does chemex or V60, see if you can order a light roast, and wait for it to cool down before trying it. And of course, make sure it's fair trade.

I hope the last nine days have been alright for you, and everything has been ok.

3) I am, however, big...

So.

It's my birthday.

It's been a long, long year. A good one for the most part. Some stumbles. Some setbacks. Some huge mistakes. Some significant difficulties. More than a few struggles.

There have also been some wonderful successes. I know this. I'm generally pretty happy, definitely quite lucky and all the more determined to continue to learn and grow as best I can going...

What was the verdict on the sports articles for the newswire? I would like to start contributing, but have no intention of bombarding anyone with submissions that are unwanted due to quality or subject.

I want to fucking kill everyone at Apple.

iTunes just deleted about 10 Gigs of music from my iPod. My computer's old and has little space on it, so when I uploaded CDs to it, I'd put them on my iPod and delete them from my hard drive. I figured they were safe there. Keep in mind, this took me almost two months to do...
