I checked out a graph from work on staffing requirements I was not supposed to see and it looks like my job is going to be given to a State Worker at a lower rate of pay, while the secretaries miraculously escaped this fate since somehow all there jobs where factored out to be less expensive to have them filled with contract employees. Why? Because they all were classified at a higher grade level than me even though I have been there the longest. So it would actually cost the State more money because of the fringe benefits. It also protects the girls from having to take a cut in pay since if they went in at the starting grade it would be a substantial pay cut of at least 10 grand. The same it would be for me but my manager is lame and does not advocate for me or elaborate in my reviews. The secretaries in the field have embellished reviews which portray them as indispensable. I am still trying to figure out how a secretary who works in a paperless office and gets her supplies by contacting me, has a heavier work load than me,when I process close to 5,000 packages and letters daily besides other responsibilities. I manage the postal services and contract documents. My title does not reflect the scope of my duities or the extras I do daily for everyone.

i agree with NeNe & i feel that you are spiritually connected enough to know the old adage: clearing out clothes in the closet makes room for a whole new wardrobe...
nonetheless, i am angered that you are not valued as you should be.
write out a list of all the qualities you want in your ideal dream job and meditate on bringing that fortune in your life.
this job doesn't deserve you.
