I had a dream last night
I came home from a 6 month stay in jail. there were 8 of us that went in. I can't remember the charge, or what had happened. one of us had snitched and somehow 6 of us got out. My friend Richard was the one that snitched. I didn't care, but oddly enough some of us that did get out did really have a problem with what he did.
His response was "I served in my own ways."
I came home, to Chris. I knew he was out at work, even though I hadn't seen him in sometime. His house looked different than from what I remmber. The dogs were still there, but there was a whole bunch of other people there as well. I think they were my friends, but none of them would talk to me anymore. I sat in his romm on the bed holding my box of stuff.
silently.
silently
I was in a daze when my friend Dawn walked over to me. She said something to me and turned to walk away. I grabbed her hand as she was leaving, I had heard her, but I didn't want to look at her. When I grabbed her hand she stopped for just a second and said, "Hang on a minute, I'll be back."
She walked away after that, I couldn't see where she went.
I wasn't sure of what to do. In my box of stuff was a key chain with keys on it. I know there is a truck waiting for me downstairs--it's my truck. But I wqas afraid if I left the house, I would just be taken away again.
I stayed in.
I didn't want to go back so soon.
I was at the waterfront the next day, pulling a large serpent out of the water with another woman. Neither of us spoke, we were friends I know, but we didn't speak, just did our job. as we dragged the serpent onto the dock my friend Katie was there. She tried saying hi to me, but I just wouldn't listen.
As we entered a nearby building the serpent we carried turned into a large piece of plastic. We were walking through my old high school, trying to figure out where to put it. We finally came across the to the last room in the hallway, we were going to put it in there as that room had the most storage. When we arrived at the room there were students taking a test. Among the students was the female principal.
We stacked the plastic in one corner of the room, and started to leave. The principal came over and balked at us for tipping over some wood that was leaning against the wall. I yelled back at her saying that we would clean it up, and that there was no need to bitch about it.
She made some comment and then stormed off back to her desk.
I followed her, picked up a pair of scissors on the way. I told her not to speak to me like that, but she laughed at me.
I ttook the scissors to her temple, and thought to myself, "This is what she gets for being a bitch."
and I could see tears rolling down her face.
"This is what she deserves..."
