The Dakotas were more fun than expected. This is primarily due to my brother allowing me to kidnap my niece, Avery, for the weekend. She's four and the goofiest kid I've ever met.
Is everyone coming to Peaches and/or d_c's place on saturday? You oughtta.
So here's my favorite Avery story from the weekend.
We were in the car and Avery declared that she was going to organize my center console. She did a very nice job of separating the "dress-ups" (crappy plastic mardi gras beads) from the rest of the shit. She said that I should keep them handy for when I have a date.
When she was done with the organizing, I gave her a pen and some paper to amuse herself with. She proceeded to write my name at the top. S-T-A-E-P-H (I didn't bother to correct her. Mis-spelling is cute until they're at the age where they're graded for it). She wrote something below it and folded the paper and handed it to me. I opened it and saw my name and "100" written blow it.
"What is the 100 for, Ave?"
"Oh. That means we had lots of fun... And you win."
Ya hear that kids? I WIN!!!!
