i realized yesterday that there is no denying that i'm pregnant. i've now got more belly than boob. and i had a lot of boob to begin with. i'm going to be huge.
i've got an ultrasound tomorrow and will find out what flavor babies we're having. we actually found out one of them last week in the ER. long story short - one of the babies decided that my kidney would be a cozy resting spot, which was compromising my kidney function. it was the most painful ordeal that i have ever experienced. the doctor did an ultrasound to make sure the babies were ok (they are) and they told me that one of them is a little girl. the other baby was busy kicking me in the kidney, so they couldn't tell what it was. when we thought it was only one baby, we wanted the sex to a be a surprise, but when we found out we were having two, we decided to find out. i wanted to know enough about them for them to be thought of as individuals before they're born. we also wanted to be able to plan a little better.
my parents don't know that we know the sex of one of the babies yet. they also don't know that i'm having an ultrasound tomorrow and should be finding out the other (so michael - if you read this before you head to mom and dad's for christmas, keep it quiet). i'm have gifts prepared for them that will reveal the sexes. i'm going to call them on christmas eve to let them know which presents they should open. i've got my grandmother as an accomplice. i love surprising people. love it.
