Doll Customization #5 Complete
---
Original Name: Inferno
New Name: Madame Brimstone
Recycled Clothing: nothing whatsoever
Handmade Articles: all of it!
---
Madame Brimstone was my most difficult and complex doll custom yet. (and may be my last one at least for now because for lack of space my art desk now has to become my studying desk ) unlike the other two most recent ones (the dominatrix and her slave), Madame's outfit consists of more than just strategically placed elastic straps held together with fasteners. first of all is the headdress which i actually had to measure, cut and sew. and while the majority of the rest of her outfit IS made from the same type of elastic straps as before i had to get a bit more creative with them. i used a 1-inch width variety which was also a somewhat more open weave and bulled strips of it as tightly as possible around each 1-inch segment of her from the feet to the bust. once id measured them i attached snaps to the ends and put them back on to her, overlapping slightly so no skin was visible through them. this got the impossibly tight 'morticia addams' look that i was going for, then for the intricate outer dress i used four pairs of loops, each pair a little larger than the last and attached them two at a time, from the hips down.
