i got a car this week. a used honda civic....which it appears has had the radio stolen out of it.....and which i found out today may be in need of about $1000 worth of repairs. i really wonder if mechanics just make stuff up to fix....cuz really how would we know? "oh yeah kid you need a new qwixaronic fuel rod or your car wont meet emission standards" "oh gee thank you mr mechanic man, you better fix it, heres my money"

in spite of all this, ive been in an uncharacteristicly good mood lately. for the moment at least, i am happy. i really like all the people ive met here, and even though they are all far away from me, i feel like ive got some real friends.

speaking of my friends, one of them (the full size inspiration for my recently completed doll) has not been feeling well and since im too far away to bring her some nice chicken soup, ive wrapped a washcloth around her miniature self as a blanket just on the off chance that i have some sort of unknown voodoo powers

i almost got my lip pierced yesterday, but when the guy was telling me about the healing time i realized there was a good chance i would end up with a swollen red lip at my graduation ceremony that wouldnt be good, so i decided im gonna do it this coming monday

my grandparens are coming in the day after tomorrow from florida. last time i saw them was when we took them on a disney cruise for their 50th aniversary last xmas. also we will have about 30 additional relatives coming to the house this weekend for to celebrate my graduation. i really didnt think it was that big a deal, but hey any event where people send me cards with money in them is fine by me. this should be a fun, albeit stressful weekend
