Well, I reasoned this. We didn't break up because of the distance, but because neither of us was interested in taking the risk of closing that distance. If we're two years down the road and neither of us feels ready to move nearer the other one - like was the case with Jane - then the relationship isn't strong enough in the first place. I mean, with the risk implied, you have to have unwavering faith in the relationship. And if you still don't after that time, then it's probably not gonna happen.
And this is something that Dawn and I agreed on before I even planned my first trip out there.
