So watching PBS, I saw part of an interview with Chris Bell, and he spoke of the twenty foot wall that will be going up on the border. He says that there will be a market for twenty-one foot ladders.

I don't think ladders so much as a market repairing the wall. There's been examples of the drug dealers tunneling under the border now and there isn't 'The Wall.' Nevermind that the entire length can't be secured all the time. How? A man ever mile? Half mile?

What is this wall made of? Is it the Great Wall? Wire fence? Wooden? What keeps it from rotting? What keeps the border crossers from taking a spare truck and slaming it through the fence?

Seems like the wall is more of an image and more of a pork-barrel project that's going to keep the Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California construction companies busy building, repairing and in all likelihood upgrading the wall for years to come.

And the ironic part of me keeps thinking of disaster events that have the US having to flee south. Opps... looks like Mexico gets a free defense system.
