Hmm. St. Valentine's Day.

I was never too into this holiday, even when I did have a girlfriend. So many holidays now seem to be totally exploited purely for profit. I know, I know... duh. The same ol' complaint. It's just that the significance of that day is diminished, even lost, when everybody is scrambling to buy, buy, buy. I've noticed this more over the years. I have friends that will ask me if what they've gotten for their mate is 'enough.' Argh! Any day could be used to do something special for that someone... I guess what bugs is that a lot of people expect shit and if you don't play along with the rest, then something is wrong with you or your relationship. I probably just don't like being told what to do. Probably? That's funny. What a fuckin' pessimist today.

Maybe I'm just lonely. Sometimes. Really happy alone right now though.
