Upon my first venture into the great outdoors this morning about 6:30, I was greeted by a frozen garter snake coiled delicately near the corner of our deck. At first glance, I wasn't sure if he was dead or alive but quickly discovered the former was the case. These warm days tend to throw off the little ones as they try to cope with ever-changing weather patterns and wacky storm cycles. Alas, such is life. A continual struggle with that which we can not control.
