so i have tried to quit drinking soda these past few months... fall off the proverbial wagon occasionally but generally have done a decent job. i must admit, however, that i was particularly bummed when coke killed surge. that was a sad, sad day. fortunately, i have found a couple of places that still have a stash of my neon green nectar. now that being said, two items come to mind:
1) it took me quite awhile to discover that surge was actually the color of nuclear waste. i didn't actually pour it into a glass for several months after its debut. i still try not to think about that too much.
2) i realize that since surge has been off the market for, well, who knows how long (two years? dunno.). when i find and purchase from the aforementioned stash, i am essentially consuming a really old, stale, potentially fatal softdrink product. again, i try not to think about it too much and find comfort in the fact that any years i am scraping off my lifespan come at the end.
what's your favorite drink? deceased or not.
