"The lesser of two evils is still evil."

Yeah. Well I have to tell you that I knew this was going to happen. Colorado elected Ken Salazar to the Senate (over celebrety GOP fill-in Pete Coors) and we got what we deserved. Salazar was not my first choice but given him or Coors, I had to go with Ken. He has lived up to his moniker, "Lesser Evil" in his short tenure. Most recently announcing his support of a flag-burning ban and recently voting against legislation that would have decriminalized medicinal marajuana.
I suppose one gets what one pays for but I sincerely wish the Democrats could figure out that many of us don't want "Republican Lite" but would prefer candidates that actually stand up for those things that we value. A lot of the time I feel that it would be better to lose with a candidate who stands for something than win with a wishy-washy middle-of-the-roader who doesn't truly represent me or stand for much of anything.

not to be shallow or dumb (although i realize i am both) but double and triple negatives especially in legislation issues have always thrown me for a loop. damn headlines.
