"I cannot live with that guy. He is so annoying. He is so frightening. And he never wears a shirt."
--Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past
This weekend was a blast. Complemented by a day off yesterday. Good times.
Went on lots of hikes with my sweetness and watched Aqua Teen Hunger Force. We went to the zoo too which was a lot of fun. Definitely get there right when they open I tells ya. Less screaming kids and most of the critters are up and about.
We also went to an attorney to make sure all out lawyer-type shit is in order. Powers of Attorney for both medical and financial stuff, set up a living trust, got all our shit in order in case we are hit by a bus to be sure that our critters are well taken care-of and that any money left over gets distributed properly. Glad to have that all settled. Now I don't have to look both ways anymore!
I went to get a State Parks pass on Saturday on my motorbike. First ride of the year which was fun. Unfortunately, I trusted the odometer and ended up running out of gas on my way home. No cell coverage where my bike crapped out so I started pushing/coasting it back down the hill. Then a nice man on a Beemer came by and hooked a brotha up with some gas. I haven't run out of gas in a very long time. Kindof funny really. We went for a big hike when I got home and then watched Dogville which I thought was a fine film.
We hiked for over 3 hours on Sunday in the State Park which is about 5 minutes from my house. It was too snowy but a lot of fun.
Monday, post zoo/lawyer, we went on another hike in the park and came across this huge section that had been clear cut for "fire mitigation" now I am no Forest Ranger but damn.... there must be a better way to handle that. Wouldn't thinning suffice? Bueller?
Now I am back at work. I am sure I'll be back to my good old grumpy political self soon... just figured you might want a break!
Later.
