"Who said anything about panicking? This is still just the culture shock. You wait till I've settled down into the situation and found my bearings. Then I'll start panicking."

so aside from me getting all fired up about political bullshit, this last week was pretty good.
i got a promotion at work, which is nice. i am now a senior (señor) web designer. for whatever that is worth. i have been hoping this would happen for awhile now so it was quite nice to get what i had been working for. good times.
i took thursday and friday off last week to go out and shoot some footage. _luke and i shot at a-basin on thursday in marginal conditions. i discovered exactly how miserably out of shape i am but it was fun nonetheless. friday i was in crested butte shooting the telemark national championships. the weather again didn't really cooperate too much but it was fun. the conditions were amazing... best snow in years. fortunately i did get to ditch my ridiculously heavy pack and make a couple of runs. which was nice.
saturday was gorgeous. i stood on an avy-launcher tower for about 8 hours, which was exactly what i wanted to do but the comp was fun to shoot. wish i had been able to make some turns but sometimes you have to take one for the team. the competitors are really stepping it up. it is cool to see how far the sport has advanced in a few short years.
lessee... i jammed home to my sweetie on sunday and am now in recovery mode. took a long nap when i got home (you'd be amazed how tired you can get just standing around) and hung and watched some bad tv a friend taped for us. now i am dumber. ugh.
hope you all have a great week ahead.

I haven't seen Rivers and Tides but I'm pretty excited to now. Thanks for that.
