...
i don't have a quote for today. sorry folks.
i spent the weekend in salt lake. went out to shoot and to attend the Outdoor Retailer tradeshow. i flew out on friday and got home late last night. well... not that late i guess but it felt pretty late.
the show was the show. tradeshows are just kinda dumb. but i understand their necessity. it was good to see a lot of people i only get to see once or twice a year though. so that was nice.
beer in utah is useless. especially when it is coors light.
shooting was kindof a joke. sunday, the weather was shitty so we didn't get much. plus everyone was stacking the landing really hard and getting hurt. which is a total drag. we then jammed over to alta for a few runs which was fun. my skiing was ver erratic but i generally had a good time.
monday, i was worthless. i just can't keep up with guys who skin at 10000+ feet every day of the week when i do it somehting like 5 times per year. i was discouraged but totally understand my predicament. i wish i had the resources and lifestyle to change it but well.... i think i just need to come to grips with the fact that there are some things i will not be able to ever be good at while trying to be good at other things (read: if i plan to work full time, i need to not expect to keep up with pro athletes).
oh yeah.... i almost forgot the main point i was going to try to make today... so douchebag bush has stated that the FCC must "call to account" any television program that "gets over the line" of decency. please. i don't watch tv very often but plopped myself in front of one yesterday for a bit. in about a 2 hour period, i must have witnessed at least 700 acts of violence. but no boobies. wouldn't we be better off to stop worrying about showing titties, or god forbid a cock or two and focus our attention on the violence? maybe it is just me.
oh yeah take 2... go wish LilJackKnife a happy birthday.
