always an angle always told with a spin and it's sad this state of affairs we've found ourselves in it was never simple but it came so close to good and part of me will never give on your potential even though i should I let you down I know I did I said forever then i quit I saw al the pretty lights that glittered in your eyes I watched them flicker and fade as you lost yourself to the game you played I stand by a fatherless child and walk away from a ridiculous past the saddest part of the lies is watching you get lost deeper and deeper inside I'll admit you were right, true love never dies or ends but what hurt the most wasn't knowing we were done it was watching those lights extinguish one by one I don't know you anymore but i'll mourn the man you almost were now it's all smoke and mirrors sleight of hand a story so twisted you don't know where it began I watched you lose the distinction between truth and your scam I slowly accept to learn I lost the war, but those lights were so worth fighting for And it doesn't matter now but sometimes i think you should know I'll always love those lights that used to glow
