Here I am in Moncton. A little bored to be honest. Not much to do here. None of my friends are around. All there really is to do is watch TV, surf the net and play with my cat Mouseport (who hates me). I will be heading to Newfoundland tomorrow morning, which means I will have very limited internet access until I get home on the 30th. Oh well.
On the plus side, I managed to pull off a B in my Introduction to Contemporary Issues in Philosophy of Law class. I don't know how I did it. I only got a C+ on the midterm that was worth 25% of the grade, and (I think) I failed the essay that was worth 40% (I say I think because it was returned to me without a grade on it, and I never bothered asking the prof. about it). So I must have nailed the final! I guess studying does pay off afterall.
I've also started writing some more. Me and my friend Aaron came up with an idea where we think of a title and then we each write a story or script, or poem, whatever, based on that title. We decided on the title "Son of a Gun". I can't remember why we thought of it, but it should be an interesting experiment. Aaron's idea was a sci-fi, superhero sort of thing and mine is a comming-of-age story about a young man who's estranged father is a circus performer (he gets shot out of cannons, specifically). If it turns out well, I might post the results online and provide a link so maybe we could get some feedback on our little experiment from people.
Have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Chanuka, a Tip-Top Tet and a Solemn and Dignified Ramadan.
PS: I forgot to mention. I shaved my beard off and it is driving me nuts. I hate the way I look clean shaven, I have no jaw-line. My friends said I look like a "sick baby"...I can't wait for it to grow back.
