I'm just gonna put this out there...
I think I am the only person in the world right now who HATED (strong emphasis on that) Transformers. I got this same feeling back when 300 came out in March. I guess its asking a lot these days that movies incorporate storytelling in between scenes of mindless action. Because, you know, they weren't created for that purpose at all.

I could see your point about Transformers but I tend to enjoy most movies for some reason, even if they are flawed, it very rare that I genuinely hate a movie and can't watch it... The Ghoulies 2 is a good example... 15 minutes and i felt like it had sucked an hour and half of my life away from me... It was painful. >.< blerg...
But I appreciate movies for all various reasons, including the work I can see went into it...I think from growing up with film crews. I watch movies a little differently than most I think. I still watch them for fun, but there's this whole respect for the badassness of the props guy, the editing, and the grips, the construction guys, the buyers, etc etc... so even if the plot is a little thin, the movie might still have a lot of weight to it for me, and be a thouroughly entertaining funfest. But yea, enough blab from me.
bless.
