A couple of things....I'll do a full update later this week.
1. The James Toney vs. Sam Peter fight is TONIGHT! on Showtime. Feel free to discuss it in the Sports Zone group.
Toney is coming in heavier by a pound, but he looks more fit than he did for the first fight. Unfortunately Peter is down 8 pounds and is in much, much better shape so it will be interesting to see how this pans out. I know Westley and I are hoping that he pulls out a win here...but who knows. These are the two most exciting heavyweights out there now in my opinion with the Power of Sam "The Nigerian Nightmare" Peter matching up with the skill, technique and craftiness of James "Lights out" Toney.
If you get Showtime, tune in. It'll be worth your time.
2. Congrats to Nottingham Forest who knocked off Charlton today in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. My friends in the 'Stowe (Robin Hood's Village) and pascipio will be proud. They've now won every FA Cup match they've had on US television, so let's hope they are on in the 4th round.
3. Andre the Giant is a true legend. I've always liked him, but after stumbling across this article on one of my favorite sites Modern Drunkard Magazine: Andre the Giant: The Greatest Drunk on Earth he became even more awesome.
He once drank....119 beers in six hours. This article talks about his drinking prowess and parts of his life throughout his career in the WWF and in film. Its a must read.
4. I was playing 9 ball with my friend Mike over Winter Break and sunk the 9 ball in off the break. That's the first time I've ever done it, or seen someone do it. Please, hold your applause until afterwards.
5. If you like Irish music, specifically stuff like Celtic punk/rock then I found two wonderful sites for you.
The first is Paddy Rock Radio which is an online radio show that plays the best in the genre from the Pogues, Tossers and DKM to Flatfoot 56 and a bunch of awesome bands I guarantee you've never heard.
The second is Shite 'n' Onions an online magazine following the same scene.
More later....
I'm off to watch Celtic vs. Dumbarton in the Scottish Cup.

Lane Kiffin is my new favorite. At least among the realistic candidates...though I'd still prefer Boise's coach, or almost any other big-name guy.
Larry Coker's been mentioned by quite a few people around here. Hopefully that doesn't happen.
