I had my "fake" parent-teacher conferences today, and it went really well. Still, I'd prefer the actual situation to be happening, rather than having it be role played, where I really don't know the student.
It was the manipulative parent that I met with, which is the hardest one to deal with in most situations. They are the parent that doesn't let their kid be themselves and pressures them to go to Harvard and to just focus on school all day. Overbearing etc, you know the descriptive adjectives.
Anyways, I did really well...I could even say I killed it. I guess its good experience for the future, when I will be dealing with every type of parent.
My friend is fully recovered from the whiplash he got on Friday when our car was rear ended.
Oh, and Minnesota in five days...I can't wait! It will be the first time since 2002 that I've been back to my true home land.
