I have just had one of the best weekend of my life. Seriously it was that good, I do not have a clue where to begin on summing up just how much madness took place over the space of 4 days. It was that good, in two years I will live in that city. I am incredibly tired and I am supposed to actually wake up tomorrow where it will hopefully be nice and myself and a friend will go to the beach. Or perhaps just drive around with the windows down and rocking out. However that is tomorrow and for now we are all about London London London.
Arrived late Thursday afternoon. Got the epic Topshop trip out of the way and spent a little bit of a fortune on some rather divine items of clothing, I had to get it out of my system. The met up with an old friend in Tower Hill before meeting up with the beautiful Alli and heading to Islington and Indian Veg for what is my favourite restaurant ever. 3.50 all you can eat vegetarian indian food. The walls are filled with vegetarian propaganda and my stomach was full of delightful food.
Here is a photo of Alli and delicious Indian food:
Tasty tasty.
This was followed by some pints and banter well into the night.
Friday I walked half of London... I swear I must have walked somewhere between 5-10 miles while doing a bit of gallery hoping and general urban investigation. Had a great time actually I even managed to catch the Dali and Film exhibition that was on at the Tate Modern. Highly recommend it if you're in the city when it is on if only to see the film he made with Disney. Some really amazing ideas. Enjoyed it greatly. Afterwards I met up with Alli again and we got some food in Camden before heading to Kilburn to see Mark Thomas live. That man is actually amazing, the campaigns and adventures he ends up on are epic. Really what a man, if more people could even do half of what he does in his everyday life this country would be such a different place. Headed to the Camden underworld afterwards for more drink and 80s music merriment. Although 3.70 for a pint of snakebite... OUCH.
Still fun was had by all.
Witness some of the fun!
Whey for booze!
The bar stopped selling booze
So when the club was over we went to the local shoppe and bought cherry lambrini and again chatted way into the morning. There is something magical about being able to buy alcohol 24 hours a day. Magical!
However before this I need tell you about the magical bus journey on what will forever be known as the legendary N29 from Camden to Islington. We were standing in the middle of the bus and there were a group of females that could not have been more than 16 swapping insults with a Spanish man. This went on for a while and it was hilarious then as part of the insult the spanish man went down to get his cock out however before he suceeded with this a black man from the back of the bus ran up the centre of the bus grabbed on to two of the poles and kicked this man squarely in the chest. It was like something out of Tekken! Epic! We laughed about it for hours. Bless the N29 and all who ride her.
Saturday with what could be described in no uncertain terms as a fucker of a hangover I merrily made my way to Victoria Station on onwards to Brighton to meet that boy I may have mentioned once or twice. Had the Quadrophenia tour, lazed on the beach. Proceeded to get drunk on cherry lambrini again. It was wonderful. Heres' a photo of us being sexy and wonderful.
Sunday we wandered around Brighton some more. Chilling on the beach again, it really was unbelievable lovely weather I'd even go as far to suggest I have a tan. Ok, maybe just a slightly different shade of white. Headed back to London in the evening and caught up with Alli again. Headed to a completly bizarre Thai restaurant called Cats which was just filled with cat ornaments and pictures of the beatles. I took one photo of the place but it really does not do it any justice at all.
Oh. Throughout the whole weekend I had the on going joke that I would walk past someone famous in London as various glossy tabloids like to suggest this is an everyday occurance. Well I kept my eyes peeled and nothing.. and then magically I'm pretty sure I walked past Elf. She's as stunningly colourful in real life as she is in her sets. Was a bit spooky as at the sametime I was discussing with Alli the possibilities of becoming a suicidegirl. Funny old world. Our night then spiralled into a pubcrawl which included the most amazing pool table I have ever witnessed:
Oh and it ended with once again drinking copious amounts of cherry lambrini and talking yet more crap into the night. It is how everynight should be.
That was a very shortened version of my weekend and I have forgot to include some of the highlights. Like the busker and his incredible skill of carassing my breast 3 times. It was silky smooth, or someone being so much of a lightweight that they got so drunk they pissed in the hall of their flat. Or just how amazing everything was... everything.
However I shall bring this entry to a close with one last legendary photo which I feel sums everything up:
