Hey again, I realised that for some reason, that amazon link was wrong, so here's the actual shoes I got SHOES!! Amazon said they'd take 8-16 days, but I got them in 3, so I'm a happy girl. Will wear them for my friend's hens party on Friday, hopefully will get some decent pics before I get too drunk.
Speaking of pics, my uncle's getting me a camera for my belated Christmas present, so whenever that happens, I'll be taking lots of photos and posting some of the better ones here
On a more serious note, today marks the first anniversary of the earthquake that shattered Christchurch. It's been all over the "current events" shows and newspapers for the last week or so and while I agree we should all stop and reflect on the lives that were lost or completely and forever changed, I think that a week of it is a bit much. The important thing is to pause rather than wallow, which is a tendency for us humans as we reflect on the bad things in the past, and to build on the progress of the last year in rebuilding lives as well as homes. Yes, we must mourn the lost and celebrate the "heroes" of the day, but I believe that the media needs to get over the hype already, and let the people of Christchurch (and to an extent, the rest of New Zealand) get back to what they've been doing for the past year and continue rebuilding the city. Kia Kaha (Maori = stand strong)
Ramble over, thanks for listening

I just noticed broccoli makes you sad. I will have you know I quite like broccoli. I add broccoli heads to lots of things I cook, mostly the simulated pies, cottage pie, tuna pie, egg and bacon pie.
