New Orleans.
A former colleague of mine that I really liked a lot was from there. He came up here to go to OSU, then moved back to join his wife after he graduated about a year ago. Needless to say I've been very worried about him. So I called our friend & former supervisor, who's kept pretty good tabs on us all, and he is safely in Houston, thank Gods!

I really wish I could cook better, dammit! I can do a pretty mean fettucine alfredo, but that's about it. (I also don't want to make it too often because it is very, very fattening!)
Some of the first things I tried cooking were Indian dishes. That's kind of akin to making a corset as one's first sewing project! Indian cuisine is very intricate and has to be PRECISELY prepared. You can't really get away with improvising and doing the next best thing, because it'll fuck EVERYTHING up! So if anyone has any simple, but very good recipes, please post them. I know there are a few good cooks on my friends list!

Il pete plus haut que son cul.

It's what the French might say of someone who thinks VERY highly of himself.
