My friend Traci and I had "Freaky Friday" at the company cookout today. I wore my long, black "Stevie Nicks" skirt, black t-shirt with red star outline, dragon earrings, black nail polish & eyeliner, and charcoal and cranberry eyeshadow.

There were several picnic tables set up, and a square table with 4 chairs. As we took our places at the square table, Traci said, "just watch, people will squeeze 8-10 at a picnic table and go sit inside before they'll sit here with us. If anyone does sit with us, it'll be (my boss, who's really shit-cool)."
Of course, Traci would be right on both counts...

Of course others from my department were sitting together at their little picnic table, and here I am chatting and having a laugh with the boss! Brilliant! I wonder if I'll now have a "teacher's pet" image...after all, it's the BOSS you wanna suck up to, NOT your asshat peers, right?

Ah, yet further proof of what I've been on about in my past couple of journals: school really did prepare me for the real world better than I thought. But rather than getting upset or pissed about it, I choose to laugh at the irony of it all! This inspired me to add a little something to the "Makes Me Sad" portion of my profile...

I'm skipping the Midnight Madness this evening to party at Fusion with my wonderful SG Dayton/Cincy friends, but there'll be no getting thru to me the rest of the damn weekend! Come Monday morning I'm sure I'll be done with HBP and bitching about how long I'll have to wait for Book 7.
