I am extremely pleased with the way my interviews went.
Both jobs would pay about 30% more than I currently make. One way or another, something good is going to happen. I really believe that. I've paid my dues and done my homework. I'm not a greenhorn anymore. I've got a little experience under my belt. (YOU THERE! Mind out of the gutter!) I also don't suck at job interviews anymore because I've done so many of them now!!
I've got to get the hell out of the travel industry. Not because I don't like what I do, but because THE PAY SUCKS ASS!! My boss probably doesn't make quite as much as I would at the jobs I'm interviewing for.
Yeah, so the election came and went. I was disappointed but not really surprised. But Bush seems intent on making domestic issues a priority for now, which is a good thing. First of all, those have been so sorely neglected in his first term, and second of all, if he's focused on the homefront then he really can't embarrass us abroad! It's also good that people like Ashcroft may not be sticking around. So hopefully the 2nd Bush administration will be a little more bearable than the first.
(Yes, I know that's wishful thinking, but I've gotta have something to keep me going, right?!)

Good luck on the jobs!
*hauls his mind out of the gutter* Sorry.
Gee, I guess it's moral to take our country to war on false pretences and kill thousands of people unnecessarily, but it's NOT moral to grant a civil union to a gay couple who really love each other! I was also pretty pissed off about State Issue 1. It was really shady, because it was presented and packaged as an anti-gay marriage thing, but was REALLY an anti-anyone-who-isn't-married thing!
Time to go to work. Not that I really need to be there on a Sunday. I might take ten calls all day, tops. But I have to come in because my manager is too much of an idiot to throw those few calls to the regular res. people and give my department a Mon-Fri schedule. OK fine, if she doesn't mind paying me to catch up on my journaling and reading!
