Although I have a less-useful (somehow assuming this is MORE useful) online presence elsewhere, I've decided to try and use the Suicide-o-sphere as a logging of actual personalized thoughts. This particular section of the e-multiverse is fequented by either people I have never met, never will, or those who I don't mind peeking inside what only some might consider my sanity.
I have been, and may still be, one of "those" kinds of people who say "I don't read." I -do- read, but that reading is usually limited to technical resources and other non-fiction. Mostly for production and rarely for fun. I spent sometime around a year ago and tried to dive into a few books. Cat's cradle? Didn't care. Done after a hundred pages. On the Road? Almost finished it...in fact, I think I did. I just don't remember because there really wasn't a point for the words to exist on the pages in that order. I hypothesize it is dated material.
I read Lolita straight through in just under a week, Fantastic insight and controversy. Somehow this Russian dude can twist the audience into straight-up feeling SORRY for a perfectly normal...pedophile. Favorite opening paragraph to date.
ANYWAY, the reason for this tra-la-la down memory lane is that I realized I started reading again and weirdly read and finished another book. Not only that, but I started reading another book while I was reading the previous book. What the fuck? So the first, Red Dragon, was a'ight. Interesting but hardly indepth. I'm not entirely sure why she is so into it. I'm guessing it is the universe more than the story. I hear Hannibal contains insight. The second book is a relatively concise historical perspective on the Chinese dynasties. Okay, okay, non-fiction. But History! I hate history! So I still consider it a feat. I'm generally in love with Chinese and Japanese mystisim and culture. I would replace that with "Asian," but I don't know shit about shit when it comes to the pac-rim and other eastern southernly islands. When it comes to China and Japan I at least know a little shit, so its a good place to start. Besides, Chinese art ra-hules.
Alright long-ass entry. I'm done with you. I'll probably have something of more standard "blog" (barf) fare next time around. Like how much it would rule to totally go down on a sweet bird right now...or anytime, really.
