I don't think it's fair to you to have to drive him ONE mile away. If he said he was going to walk each day, then he should walk. Sure there may be days here and there that he could maybe ask for a ride, but each day? Not cool man.

Go to a thrift store and see if you can pick up a cheap bicycle......would make that "one mile" a lot less, um, long?
