i don't actually give up- i never have.
here's what's up:
i am buried with new work for a recording artist and record label / working in promotions and distribution.... getting up and going to a "job" each morning is a whole new gig for me... weird- but getting paid out of somebody else's checkbook for a change is kinda cool.
in my own work i've been buried as well..... totally behind in the editing department with tons of people writing me and going 'uh... weren't you going to get us those pictures?....' so i'm behind but still moving. the book project is dragging some.
last week i got interviewed for a television talk show in san joseabout my photography and about the santa cruz tattoo project. the first piece aired on wednesday- the next will air this coming wednesday... but the drag is- it airs over the hill in santa clara valley only..... which means a bazillion people may potentailly see it, but me and everyone i know- will not
however...i have been painting like a fiend!! my work is evolving and maturing and it shows. sweet.

i was driving back from san francisco yesterday and ALMOST stopped by your pad to say "hello" - then i realized i didn't have your phone number, therefore couldn't call in advance - and i friggin' HATE the old "surprise visit" shiznit.... Soooo, if it's the "thought" that counts - consider yourself visited...
cheers
