No, you're not being heartless. Hell, I agree: I'm as much a Second Amendment believer as you are, and like you I believe if we can we should be able to defend ourselves. I just wish there were better (not more!) safeguards in place to ensure that those like this bastard never get their hands on a gun in the first place.

Our country's media are composed 90-percent of liberals (the last I checked), but people forget that the many media outlets that disseminate news to us are BUSINESSES. Of course they're going to rush like hell to be the first to put their two cents in or worse seem 'socially relevant', which means twisted and distorted facts. To whose benefit? Not ours...to the businesses that are supposed to just report the news, and that's all. You hear that whirring sound? That's Edward R. Murrow, spinning in his casket...
As for people wanting big government...well, too many of us are lazy and have taken too much for granted.
I wish that was a trend that would die fast.

I was eventually compared to Derek Vinyard, the fictional Nazi skinhead in "American History X"... Jesus. That was vicious. I actually hate Nazi skinheads, and to be labeled as one hurt.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, "you got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em..."

I'm not an expert on what dreams mean but I guess it means you're stressed or worried about something... most likely your girlfriend being diabetic but being where you can't look after her? Sorry, that wasn't very useful, I'm sure you could work that out yourself. Why don't you talk to her? If you're subconsciously worried about her perhaps she (or her mum, sister, best friend, etc) could reassure you that's she's eating properly and everything like that and she'll be okay, and you might be able to sleep better. You don't have to say everything, just mention that you worry about her sometimes, and I bet she can put your mind at rest a little bit.

1. I don't want to be an ET (Electronics Tech) anymore. Not because I don't like electronics (I do) but because I've spent the last 5 years doing computer work (IT)... this means that if I took orders for being an ET, I would be extremely out of practice and they'd expect me to perform like I'd always been doing ET stuff... and I feel that shortchanges the Navy, to a degree... that, and I've had people with no experience try to be my supervisor, and I reeeealy don't want to be that person.
2. If I'm going to cross-rate out of ET, I won't cross to IT... because 95% of the ITs I know are real idiots... which is why the Navy computer support structure is falling apart. Instead, I'm going to go CTN, which is, more or less, computer security. Think hacker-type stuff.
