So I finally got back to my exercise routine yesterday - went to a gym, signed up, and did a workout. It felt really good afterwards, with little soreness, which is odd - I felt like I'd pushed myself a lot, so I guess I'll have to see how I do tomorrow.
My check was pretty small this month, largely due to being sent home early because things were so slow, which also means less spiffs and commission. It's not like I get a whole lot of that crap anyway, but sometimes it means the difference between good cooking and a ramen-noodle diet. I enjoy noodles and pasta and rice, but sometimes it's nice to cook a lasagna or some goat cheese and pesto chicken.
I watched Fido the other night. REALLY good. Funny, kistchy, and quirky. If filmmakers made more movies like this, I might waste even more of my time on DVDs. Between that and Deadwood, it's been hard to do anything else.
Deadwood - Here is TV the way it should be. The characters are all interesting, 3-Dimensional, and engrossing. None of them are caricatures, or ever do what you expect. The dialogue is top-notch. If I watch carefully, I can see why someone who doesn't like swearing would be put off, but the foul-mouthedness comes off as a)just part of the frontier world they built and b)so ingrained and intertwined naturally into the dialogue that if I'm not looking for it, I don't notice it. I can't believe I didn't see it earlier, and I wish they'd been able to do their fourth and final season.
I'm slowly finding it harder and harder to keep up with the updated sets - with a few exceptions, most of the girls I really like are either gone or don't release sets that often. Mostly when I do get time to look at the sets, it's with Ali, and we just kind of flip through the sets seeing which shots we like.
Other than that, life is pretty much normal - off to karaoke tonight, and soon my brother will be coming to visit, back from South America. I can't wait.
One more thing; at the end of march we are moving - my roommate bought a house, so he is going to be our landlord. It's fairly nice, though I haven't gotten a good look at the inside yet - this place we have now is far too big for us, though. The only reason we picked it up is because it was the first thing that came along. Damn buyers' markets. Oh well - soon to be lower rent.
That's all from this guy for now.

Skerries, eh? My workmate had a friend who moved to Vancouver from Skerries when she was a kid. Haven't been there many times.
