I got an email from Skyla today. It filled me with elation and melancholy at the same time. I miss her so much, but now I know she's missing me just as much. She sent me a photo of her and she looks great.
Three weeks of work left, then I'm off to see The Ghost Cried Murder and Matthew Good in Edmonton.
The Ghost Cried Murder is a Calgary Post-Hardcore group that are supposed to have a pretty wicked live show, my brother's band played with them a couple times, and I'm sure most of you have heard Matt Good.
When I first heard Matt Good, I kind of dismissed him as some kind of Armchair Activist rocker or something, but my brother kind of dug him, and there were a few songs I really liked, and slowly I really began to dig him. It wasn't until the song "Weapon" though that I realized that he's pretty damn smart, and his lyrics are quite intelligent. I can't wait to see him live.
After that, it's probably down to Calgary to stay with relatives for a bit, visit friends, then I'm off to Ireland! WOOT!!!
So I figure now will be the best time to give you guys my information;
I'm pretty sure I'll be staying at Kinlay House in Dublin when I arrive, I've talked to one person who's already there over msn, so I know I'll have access to a computer(though it will probably be limited), and after that I've gotta find a place to stay. I still need to find a place for saturday too, as Kinlay House is booked full that night. Have to look at some other hostels.

Here is the journal I'm going to use to keep track of my ireland mishaps. It's a lot simpler than emailing everyone and getting like eight messages that your damn inboxes are full. I will be posting here occaisionally, but probably not regularly for a while. I DO plan to eventually buy a laptop, because I will certainly need one afterwards anyway, but that plan may either go out the window or wait until I get back, depending.
