i saw your post on a board about joining the army. you need to do it soon if you want to go airborne they have a max age of 35 and where trying to get it lower to 30 when i went to the school back in 2001. ranger school also has a max age and you might not even pass the physical if you are not in a ranger BN. RIP would be the way to go if you want to go to ranger school. just choose a MOS that they have at ranget bat and after jump school you head over for another 3 weeks of FUN!! as long as you can run good and fast you shouldnot have any problems. i you want to go ocs you will have to wait a little while to go to ranger school unless you are an infantry officer. they are usualy the only ones that get spots as LTs.

you are really going to have a hard time getting into airborne school from the national gaurd. you have to wait until your unit gets a slot then when you get there you only get in if there are enough spaces left. national gaurd is one of the lowest priority for the school. even if you get in on your contract it is not set in stone. they just have to get you to the school. if the shool lets you in is a differant story. ranger school is going to be a hole nother ball game. when i was there they did not even let in national gaurd troops. the national gaurd sf guys had to go active so they could get in then go back to the gaurd when they got out. one thing you might consider is going active for 3 years that will get you the schools you want. pluss you will be in those schools or waiting on them for the better part of 3 years anyway. sometimes you ahve to sacrifice if its really what you want to do.
