Yes, the Vatican is beautiful. I never went inside but
have been to St. Peter's Square and seen it from the out-
side. At least the Vatican no longer follows the tradition
of hitting the Pope's forehead with a hammer to see if he
is still alive. Ouch!!! But they do ask him his name three
times and see if they get a response before proclaiming
him dead. Fox today did a piece on the Papal chamberlain,
who apparently has no job until the Pope dies. Then he has
to work really hard..
