Painted my dad's house yesterday. It hadn't been painted in the 23+ years he's owned it, was a gross pea-green color everyone hated. Me and my friend Erik got around to painting it, took 4 hours of prep work on Sunday and 5 hours of spraying/cleanup on Monday. Now it's a light peach color, the color Crayola used to call "flesh" colored.
Rented 25th Hour today. I hate Spike Lee's films and a movie about a guy waiting to go to prison sounded like a real downer and a bore, but I rented it anyway. It's all right. It's a very New York film, makes you very aware that it is post-9/11 and the effect it had on New Yorkers.
Anyway, painting the trime tmorrow and then it's all done. Erik and I did this as a birthday present to my dad, it cost him about $500 total. His neighbor is a painter who obviously smokes crack, since his quote was $4500
