i am fascinated by tarot readings. i have been studying it all night. oh but before i blabber on, thank you davel and Frenchy for getting me out of the house this weekend! we went on a delightful scooter slash motorcycle ride on hwy 1. it was so beautiful, the sun was out and the ocean, oh it was so alabama blue!
so.
my debut tarot reading: unbelieavable | stunned | fascinated| at peace|
the two most important cards: the first card & the anchor. but i had four very profound cards in my reading. (keep reading!)
my first? oooohh!
The LooooooooVers!
or we could go with a more hip version...
LOVE & TRIUMPH - the first meaning of the card in readings is always a relationship. whether it takes place now, was in the past, or will be in the future - it will reveal itself in the other cards.
my anchor...... was. the. WORLD!
yea!
The World - is the GREAT AWAKENING! it is a wonderful card to recieve in any reading. it signifies success, abundance, fulfillment.... it's an opening to a whole new existence, as if we have traveled along a path in a cave all of our lives & SUDDENLY we emerge into the wide world!
Death; the Scary Card. REVERSAL & RELEASE. The appearance of death in a reading indicates some kind of change. Something needs to die so that the person can move on to a new experience. It might prove to be a very difficult period of translation, but the other cards can reassure of new possibilities that will come if they allow change to occur. In tarot, death has evolved into the concept of releasing aspects of ourselves that are old and worn-out. People stay in bad marriages or hopeless jobs often for years because they cannot let it die. Tarot reminds us to trust in what will come afterward!
STRENGTH & BALANCE - In readings, the high priestess stresses stillness and withdrawal. We need to spend more time looking inside, comtemplating, seeking peace more than answers. She suggests that sense we sometimes get out of a great truth we cannot put into words. any attempt to explain would only destroy it. thus, she symbolizes both intuition and silence.
Oh, and those were only four of the cards i got.
[note: these were not self-dealt. it was from an actually reading from when i went to chicago in april!]
