So I took advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend to finish all of my and my friends installs. Let's just say i'm DAMN TIRED . I think my fingertips are all full of copper thread, and I am probably getting blood all over my keyboard . Ooh now I get to write a German essay with blistered fingers - rox0r.
Pictures are here: http://shit.stipud.com/stereo/weekend/ Sorry, they're a little large, and i'll try to get more pictures next time I see my friends.
1998 Subaru Legacy
-----------------------
Tantrum Components - Front
Ultimate 6x9's - Rear
2 x Ti10D in custom 33 Hz ported Alpine box
JBL BPX500.1 for the Ti10's
Cobra Radar Detector
Sony CDX-CA900X Deck
This is my car - it's mostly pretty ghetto. There were no rear speakers from the factory, and I don't want to make any cuts yet, so I just threw my old 6x9's in boxes for the rear. I ran out of funds, so no 4 channel amp yet either...
1998 Pontiac Sunfire
-----------------------
Pioneer 4x6 - Front
Pioneer 6x9 - Rear
2 x Alpine S12 in PG Sealed
US Acoustics 600w with custom plexi bottom!
Alpine HU (Dunno the model)
Underbody "Cheapo" Light Kit - can't take a stable pic, will try later
The light kit actually looks pretty cool on this thing as it is the exact same color as the body (green). I am quite surprised the car doesn't rattle, as the previous owner had been in quite a few accidents. I picked up a sheet of lucite from the local Rona, cut and sanded it down until it fit in where the metal bottom plate normally is. Built some small brackets to mount it vertically on the box. Rockford 8 Gauge wire all around!
2001 Honda Civic
--------------------
Octane-R 5.0 - Front and Rear
2 x JL 10W0 Powerwedge
2 x Sony Xplod amps, one 4ch (speakers), one 2ch (subs)
Kenwood Pro Deck
What have they done to the civic? It used to be the easiest car to install into... Now it's insane! I had to make custom door enclosures for the Octane-R's. Didn't get a chance to install the rear speakers yet, as i would pretty much have to disassemble the whole interior just to get to them. Those Octanes sound DAMN GOOD though, even on the cheapass Sony amp.
