Jiu-jitsu has been the perfect daughter/father sport for me and my girl. She took 2nd at NAGA yesterday. She lost to a boy, she made a technique mistake... I asked the coach to now roll her against boys to prepare her better... She wants to compete at State in a month.
I think she had an edge on the mat because I was there with her, but not only that, I was on the mat an hour after her fighting. I took 3rd, lost to my teammate.
She was pumped, I havent seen her this excited in a long time, and competing and all of this she has done at her own pace, it is her sport. And we started at the same time, so it is new to both of us.
I cant wait 'till my 6yr old girl can start rolling too (they havent set up the kids class yet, but she is ready to fight).
