Many thanks to kowtow. I sent him a poem of mine and asked him for critical suggestions, which he did. I took some of his thoughts, combined them with my intentions and I think it is something I can be happy with. Very cool. It may still be revised, but I know it is close now!
I am producing a book at the end of the semester, so I am happy with that. I have to come up with a title and some cover art though.
You know, all I want to do is write, read, write some more... I am becoming more passionate about it.
Off I go....
To do some reading, tonight it is Li-Young Lee...

My pleasure. I haven't gotten a chance to really read the other poem but I did go over it once and I loved it. Unfortunately my life has gotten in the way and I haven't had a spare minute to sit down with it. Close reading of poetry is something that I just started doing with WH Auden, Wm. Carlos Williams and Octavio Paz. I love Paz. It's almost unChristian how much I love Paz's work.
