I put my two girls to bed and read to them. To Paige I read some little book about the Road Runner. And, to Zoe, I read two Pablo Neruda poems. One about the ocean and Chile's coast, the other one about Chile itself.
I started back in school in August of 2007. Today I signed up for my first 300 level course
My summer schedule includes Creative Writing and Child Development-Behavior Managment. I am taking two work shops too... Spanish Civil War in Film, which I find interesting because it influenced Picasso and Neruda as well as served as a testing ground for Nazi Germany's war machine. The other I took for fun, and I bet this prof will push hard and it will be an interesting topic even if it has a crazy title. It counts towards my English/Literature and is Vampires/Aztec Mummies/Wrestling Women
Oh yeah, I found out Zoe (a fourth grader) tested gifted and talented again, this is the third year straight. But this school dist doesnt do anything for gifted and talented students
And it is not like I am somewhere that I have options, and their mom wouldnt approve me moving them away to just to find Zoe better educational options (not like it's bad here, just not as good as it could be).
