Previous post was lost, but i wanted to go someplace remote, where the texture of the land was a result of a thousand years of rain and wind.
In particular, the Alvord Dessert. Was there last summer and it was AWESOME! Wide open and flat in three direction, with the fourth blocked by the stunning Steens Mountain. If you've never been, do it! It's over five miles wide and people land planes on it! Oh wait, don't go... no one go... don't make it touristy and spoiled! Leave it for just the few of us who know... please don't go......
